Prayer Requests...   I ask prayer for my cousin Cathy and the rest of our family- The Acosta Family.  Her son Joey Terhikki-Acosta was murdered this week.  The family is trying to make sense of what had happened and it seems it may be a case of mistaken identity.  He was stabbed in the head 4 times.  He was in his twenties.  He leaves behind his 2 little children and wife.  His mother really needs prayer right now as do the rest of our family as they cope with the loss of our loved one.  Please also pray for Joey's transition.   Thank you for your prayers. FW: Prayer Request

Hi everyone - just a quick note, Summer is going back to Stanford tomorrow to start another round of ATG-chemo treatment. As many of you know, we do not have a perfect bone marrow match, so this is the best viable alternative. The hope is that this second round of treatment will put this bone marrow disease into remission. She can only go through this treatment twice consecutively, so a successful outcome is vital. She will be in the hospital for ~ 5 days as long as she doesn't have any serum sickness and/or fevers or infections. And then we will be living over there for 4 weeks -- again, as long as she doesn't have any complications. Please pray that this treatment is a success and also that Summer and everyone that comes in contact with her will be sick-free for the next several months. As we approach flu season, this is more important than ever. She will be back to very low cell counts for a couple of weeks, so we need a healthy environment for her to stay on track! Friend with nosebleeds

Barb is in the hospital - has had real bad nose bleeding that would not stop. Looked like a crime scene here a couple times. She had been geting stronger and looked better then this happened. Hopefully they (doctors) will find out why and not just plug her up and snd hr back home like they have done before.

Prayer Request

Our friends son Koen (Age 3) was taken to the hospital's ER last week on July 30th, while they were on the road moving.  He has been diagnosed with a Massive Hypoblastoma Tumor of the liver. A biopsy was done on Aug. 2nd.  He was at a Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, but has since been flewn to  the Children's Hospital in Denver. They will begin Chemo tomorrow-Tuesday Aug. 4th, as to shrink the tumor so that they may begin surgery ASAP .  He is in a lot of pain and is having difficulty breathing.  Please pray for Koen Slovek and his family -parents are Lindsay and Grant Slovek.  We see him in perfect health and free from pain! The light of God surrounds him, the love of God enfolds him, the power of God protects him, and the presence of God watches over him. Where ever he is, God is and all is well. AMEN. The family also would like to pass this info along... Prayer Request

Good Morning!   I have received the following prayer request from a friend and coworker here at the college: Hi everyone - hope this finds you all well as I know we all have our battles.  I wanted to send a quick update on behalf of Summer and our family.  We received some potentially no so good news yesterday.    After a routine check-up, Summer's doctor found that her numbers have begun slipping and is fearful that she has hit a plateau with her treatment.  If this is true, then it means she will face either another treatment of chemo in the hospital (ATG treatment) or a bone marrow transplant.  Her doctor has indicated she believes that the bone marrow transplant will be the next best option.   For those of you who are not familiar with these treatments, let me be really clear... the bone marrow transplant is extensive, very hard on the body, and comes with many potential complications.  It is NOT the direction we want to go.  Summer does not have a solid match in the bank, it would require ~ 5 weeks in the hospital with extreme chemo, and she would not be able to see our baby boy for the duration of her stay in the hospital.  It will also require that she live in Stanford for an additional three - four months.   After talking with Dr. Berube on the phone yesterday afternoon, she wants to see what Summer's bone marrow will do within the next two weeks.  She has her on an even higher dose of cyclosporine (oral chemo) than normal with hopes that her body with start producing cells again.   So what can you do?  I am asking that you pray specifically that Summer's body will heal and recover these next two weeks.  Our God is bigger than any treatment.  With a body of believers lifting her up in prayer asking that the Ultimate Healer and the Maker of her blood reverse this illness, it is possible that her body will recover.    As you can imagine, Summer (we all are) is heartbroken and her faith is fragile to say the least.  If anyone reaches out to her personally, I ask that you keep your message positive.  We are claiming her healing and want that to be the message.  Thank you in advance for your positive thoughts and prayers.   Regards, Chris and family   I would like to confirm perfect health for Summer, that Summer's body is healing, her cells are now multiplying, and here faith and internal strength will continue to grow.  Also I would like to surround the family with peace, light and love.   Thank you.   Peace, light and love to you, Sheila   Prayer Requests: http://prayer-angels.blogspot.com/ or email your request directly to melane1026.go2hvn@blogger.com

A Difficult Time for Elderly

Prayers for a baby!

My prayers are for my granddaughter Rosaleia.  She has had an ongoing cold and lung congestion for 3 months which keeps her uncomfortable and constantly awake.  I affirm that her mommy will discover the source of the infection and will easily be able to make the correction needed so little Ros can be fully healthy and sleep well every night with sufficient naps during the day.
